Talented You ~ Gratitude

What talents do you possess that are otherworldly or amazing that you don’t share with people because you think it is too weird or wonderful or unbelievable?

I don’t mean talking about something that you happen to be good at that is your everyday level of talent that you’re completely comfortable with everyone knowing but that doesn’t necessarily show of your nerdy, geeky, quirky, fantastic you that perhaps only a few people know about. I mean, what is it that you do that is amazeballs but that most people would have no idea you know how to do?

When I am listening to certain types of music, I can feel neurons firing across the midline of my brain and into my frontal lobe. If I’m really focused, I can see the notes on the page or written in the air (yes, like in those crime fighting dramas where wickedly smart people do the maths in the air in fancy white lettering). It was really helpful in school because I could think the music and then I could pull up the picture in my head of the notes I had written and see the answers even if it was something I didn’t remember.

I know I’m not the only one with weird or wonderful talents. Be bold enough to share yours.

At the end of the day, don’t forget to share your gratitude with others, whether you choose to come back and comment here, to write your thoughts in a journal, to send your feelings to a friend or loved one, or to create change in your world to pursue fulfillment and contentment, think back on the prompt and build in yourself gratitude for the blessings that have been showered upon you!

Come back tomorrow for more gratitude mindfulness.
