Today meditate on and consider something particularly challenging you have overcome.
Oftentimes we are so focused on the challenges we are facing that we feel are so overwhelming that we forget to consider how much we have already overcome.
For me, I find it difficult to be positive, loving, and living in gratitude if I feel weak, powerless, and incapable.
The quickest way to remember how badass I am is to remind myself of all the trauma, illness, and anguish I have already overcome to get to where I am and to become the woman I am.
I remind myself that if all that couldn’t keep me down, than the struggles before me now shouldn’t be able to either.
We all have these stories.
Sometimes we just need to remind ourselves.
At the end of the day, don’t forget to share your gratitude with others, whether you choose to come back and comment here, to write your thoughts in a journal, to send your feelings to a friend or loved one, or to create change in your world to pursue fulfillment and contentment, think back on the prompt and build in yourself gratitude for the blessings that have been showered upon you!
