And she knew instantly
He had a heart
That was big and strong
A heart that would
Let nothing and no one go

And she wanted inside it
Except
She didn’t know
It had been left out too long
And therefore had
Rusted shut

People really need to be warned about associating with artists and writers… We wield words like weapons and paintbrushes like poniards. We will immortalize our emotions and whomever elicited them, whatever they may be. Taylor Swift, anyone?!
Oh wait.
