At first

There was nothing

Nothing between them

But as time went by

Cold turned to cool

And cool turned

To room temperature

And despite it all

Despite everything he did

To ward off her wiles

She grew on him

Like a colony of

E. coli growing

On the room temperature

Canadian bacon
