The Sound of My Day: “Live Like a Warrior”

Normally I don’t know that I will share songs in such rapid succession but with this song and on this day I will make an exception.

As 2017 closes and we wait eagerly for 2018 and all it’s promise, think on those things that are negative and unhealthy, every critical thought you’ve had or that has been spoken to you, every argument, every difficulty, and every shortcoming in your life that you do not want going with you into the new year, whether they are from 2017 or from years past. Sit with them for a few minutes reflecting on every uncomfortable facet and letting all the emotions associated with them wash over you.

When you’re done, choose to throw them off of yourself, visualizing cutting the ties that bind them to you. You cannot erase them from your past but you can choose not to carry them with you into the future.

As you enter 2018, choose to let yesteryear burn and throw that negativity in the fire.
